KAVC Foundation is a community based organisation registered and operating in Uganda. We help vulnerable children and vulnerable households especially those headed by women to access the basic rights of life especially access to education, food and income generation.
KAVC Foundation was first registered as African Vision Consult in 2008 in Kabale District. Later in 2012, the organisation changed the name to KAVC Foundation and also extended its area of operation to Wakiso District. James Asiimwe started this organisation after going through varied experiences while growing up as a child and also after working with vulnerable communities for Seven years. Later, he was joined by his wife Miriam Asiimwe after she was inspired by James 1:27.
• To provide free quality education and meals to vulnerable children and youth in all levels of education (KAVC Nursery, KAVC Primary, KAVC Secondary, KAVC Vocational, KAVC University)
• To support economic empowerment of marginalized women and youth through income generating projects
• To support skills development for people living with disabilities, school dropouts and those who never went to school
