PROMOTING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH THEIR TALENTS

With support from Australian AID, KAVC Foundation is implementing a project for people with disabilities for one year. This project is designed to promote people with disabilities by supporting them to develop and consolidate their talents. This will enable them to earn a living and will also be in position to provide for their own children and families. This will help people with disabilities to stop begging on streets. We identified many of these people with special talents of singing (music), knitting, hair dressing and tailoring. All we do is to support and train them on how they can use their talents commercially and to provide them with start-up materials like sewing machines, embroidery, saloon products and musical instruments. KAVC Foundation school and other schools have ready market for the products made by them especially knitting, tailoring and embroidery.
